Behind the lens

My name is Rosalie, but just call me Rose

I grew up in the heart of the Veluwe, the Netherlands, raised between the forests and animals. To me, nature was never just a backdrop but a place of peace, connection, and homecoming.

After living in Spain for ten years, where the sun shines almost constant, returning to the Dutch woods felt like a total rediscovery and gave me eyes to truly appreciate the changes of the seasons. The first awakening of spring, the vibrant greens of summer, the golden leaves of autumn, and the quiet stillness of winter. This is what drives me to capture these specific, magical scenes in my work today.

The journey of my camera: From travel to connection

While traveling Southeast Asia and Mexico, my camera became my way of connecting with the world. It showed me that life’s beauty is everywhere: the way the light hits a leaf, in the local cultures I visited, a waterfall shaping the landscape. I believe that everything pure and real deserves to be seen and I love being able to capture those moments and share it with others.

Over the last year my curiosity took me from travel and wildlife to the close-up magic and technical world of macro photography, the storytelling behind lifestyle portraits and branding shoots for small businesses with a mission. Eventually, with a background as veterinary assistant, my journey led me to dog photography where I found my passion in capturing the authentic, soulful connection between people, their dogs, and the natural world around them.

It’s been such a fun journey!

The next chapter

Right now, I’m following a professional photography program at the Fotovakschool to sharpen my technical skills, while making sure I never lose that soft, vibrant touch I love so much. While I continue to offer my work as wall-art prints to bring a bit of nature into your home, I’m excited to welcome new stories to my lens!

This spring you can find me in the vibrant green woods of De Veluwe. I’ll be offering shoots for dog photography in the areas of Niersen, Gortel, and Vierhouten, and I'm available for personalized branding sessions throughout Vaassen, Epe and Apeldoorn.

Looking ahead: I am also planning a short visit to my second home in Gran Canaria and Sitges this summer to offer a limited number of sessions there.

Let’s create something beautiful together!
